In the Fargo episode ‘The Law of Non-Contradiction’, Gloria Burgle (Carrie Coon) revisits her stepfather’s past to try and find some answers. Along the way she meets waitress Vivian Lord. Vivian is portrayed by Frances Fisher. Fisher is known for her roles on Masters of Sex (Edna), Resurrection (Lucille), The Edge of Night (Deborah Saxon), and in the films Titanic (Ruth Dewitt Bukater), Unforgiven (Strawberry Alice), House of Sand and Fog (Connie Walsh), and The Lincoln Lawyer (Mary Windsor), among others.

The younger version of Vivian Lord is portrayed by Fisher’s real-life daughter Francesca Eastwood. Fisher and Clint Eastwood were in a relationship for six years during the 1990s when Francesca was born. Francesca Eastwood, now 23, is best known for her role as Evo Molly Walker on Heroes Reborn. Fargo airs Wednesdays at 10pm on FX.
