The My 600-lb Life episode ‘Steven and Justin’s Story’ tells the story of two brothers, Steven and Justin Assanti, who together weigh nearly 1400 pounds. But the star of the show is Steven (who also goes by his middle name, John), who is accustomed to being in front of a camera. In 2007, he appeared on Dr. Phil. The host described Assanti as “lazy, manipulative and fundamentally dishonest.”
“You came in here trying to run a con,” Dr. Phil said. “Telling me what I wanted to hear.” Steven/John of the encounter, “When Dr. Phil called me a con artist, I respect his honesty.” Steven John Assanti has since posted several videos of himself (shirtless) singing and dancing via his YouTube channel, FatBoyGetDown.
