Wharton MBA grad Zander Adell is the founder of Doorman, an app that solves the problem of ordering things online and having packages stolen from doorsteps. The app allows users to schedule deliveries. Adell pitched the company on Shark Tank and made a deal with Robert Herjavec: $250k investment for 12 percent equity.
One month after Adell appeared on Shark Tank, an early employee at Groupon (#77, Director of National Sales), Jason Komosa, “contributed an undisclosed sum in a seed round.” He has since joined the Doorman team as director of sales. Komosa said: “I’ve already invested my money in the company — I might as well double down and invest my time as well.”
