Justin Zayat is the son of Ahmed Zayat, owner of American Pharaoh. American Pharaoh is going for the Triple Crown title at the Belmont Stakes this Saturday, June 6. Justin told the New York Post that he’s received “pretty good advice” from Bob Bowman, the former coach of Olympic swimmer Michael Phelps. Bowman was with Phelps at the Olympics twice (Beijing, London).
Bowman told Zayat: “The first Olympics, I remember zero because it went by so quickly. For the second, I made sure I took 10 minutes every single day to just look around and take in the moment because this is never going to happen again.” Zayat has taken that advice to heart. He said, “I try every single day to appreciate the moment because there’s a chance this could never happen again.” Justin and his father Ahmed will be the subjects of the TV show The Secret Lives of the Super Rich on Thursday, June 4, 10pm on CNBC.
