Actress Kim Cattrall made headlines when HBO announced she was reprising her role as Samantha Jones for the Sex and the City spin-off And Just Like That with Sarah Jessica Parker (Carrie), Cynthia Nixon (Miranda), and Kristin Davis (Charlotte).
For fans who want to see more of Cattrall beyond the cameo appearance she makes in the Season 2 finale of And Just Like That (which will air on August 24), there’s good news.
Cattrall stars in the new “Netflix queer series,” Glamorous. She plays former supermodel Madolyn Addison, who now runs her own cosmetics company, Glamorous by Madolyn. As she says in the trailer below, she refuses to “play it safe.”
Cattrall’s fans are going wild over the trailer. As one replied: “I’m here for Kim Cat, anything for this woman.”
Miss Benny stars as the protagonist, Macro Mejia, “a young gender non-conforming queer man whose life seems to be stuck in place until he lands a job working for Madolyn.”
Glamorous reminds many of Ugly Betty and The Devil Wears Prada, although Cattrall’s character comes off as more empathic.
Glamorous makes it debut on Netflix on June 22.
