Get ready to see more of Cobie Smulders. The former How I Met Your Mother and The Avengers star is promoting the new Marvel Studios series, Secret Invasion, with Samuel L. Jackson as the eye-patch wearing character, Fury.
At the London premiere, Smulders turned heads in a strapless, sheer black lace corset dress (by Oscar de la Renta) and open-toe stilettos (by Dolce and Gabbana).
For Secret Invasion, Smulders reprises her role as Maria Hill, who — with Fury and the rest of the gang — helps fight off an army of shapeshifting Skrulls and (spoiler alert) save humanity.
Ben Mendelsohn (The Dark Knight Rises, Bloodline) is back as Talos; Olivia Colman (The Father, The Lost Daughter, The Iron Lady) is Special Agent Sonya Falsworth; and Emilia Clarke (Game of Thrones) is G’ia.

Smulders will appear next in the upcoming romantic comedy Cupid & Me with Brittany Snow (Pitch Perfect, American Dreams). Written and directed by Jamie Adams, Cupid & Me is about “a hopeless romantic who fall in love by Valentine’s Day, or witness the redundancy of all Cupids.”
