Actress Sydney Sweeney has taken on many dramatic roles including Eden Spencer in The Handmaid’s Tale and Alice in Sharp Objects. Still, some fans who may have seen only her bikini-clad performance in The White Lotus, or as the seductive Cassie in Euphoria, or the promotional photos for her new lingerie line (see below), can sometimes see her arrestingly beautiful face and body before her talent.
After watching the trailer for Sweeney’s new HBOMax film, Reality, fans are showering the 25-year-old actress with praise for doing “something that doesn’t show her body.” Sweeney plays the titular character. Watch trailer below.
Reality is based on the true story of Reality Winner, an American former enlisted U.S. Air Force member and NSA translator, who in 2017 was arrested was arrested on suspicion of leaking an intelligence report about Russian interference in the 2016 United States elections from NSA to the news website The Intercept.
In 2018, Winner changed her plea to guilty and was sentenced to five years in federal prison. She released June 2021.
Sweeney’s fans can’t get enough of her in the serious role. As one wrote: “She is not just the pretty girl from euphoria i think she is a really good actress.” Another replied: “The fact that she’s getting more serious roles at her young age speaks volumes. Her career is really starting to take off.”
Reality will be released on Memorial Day, May 29 on HBO Max.
