Rob Lowe is best known for his roles in a variety of movies including The Outsiders, The New Hampshire Hotel, St. Elmo’s Fire, the Austin Powers film franchise, and in TV series including the current 9-1-1: Lone Star, in which he plays the captain of a fire department in Texas.
Lowe is promoting his new Netflix comedy series Unstable with co-star and his real-life son, John Owen Lowe, who plays his son in the series. As seen in the trailer above, Father Lowe plays the protagonist, “a biotech genius” who “tries to bounce back from the depths of grief with help from his son, who works to escape his dad’s shadow and save the family business.”
When Rob Lowe shared the photo montage above, he captioned it: “Who’s the more #Unstable duo?” On the left is Tom Sandoval and Tom Schwartz from the Bravo reality TV series Vanderpump Rules.
Sandoval admitted to Schwartz that he had an affair with his co-star Raquel Leviss while in a relationship with his other co-star Ariana Madix, hence the “Scandoval” moniker. When Johnny Lowe saw it, he replied to his father: “This is officially your best Instagram post ever.” (As seen below with Seth Myers, Johnny often criticizes his father’s Instagram posts.)
