Hollywood mega star Denzel Washington is known for his two Oscar winning roles in Training Day and Glory, his Tony Award winning performance in August Wilson’s Fences, and in movies including Spike Lee‘s Malcolm X, and Jonathan Demme’s Philadelphia.
The 68-year-old New York native is currently reprising his role as Robert McCall in Italy as he films The Equalizer 3 with his 2004 Man on Fire co-star Dakota Fanning. The cast — which also includes Sonia Ammar (Scream VI) — is filming on the Amalfi Coast, Naples and Rome.
When in Rome, Washington (representing NY with a black Yankees hat) occasionally stops in local small businesses as seen above and below at two different bakery shops where he’s seen eating gelato (an Italian ice cream).
The owner of the pastry shop above reports: “The ice cream of the Amalfi Coast also kidnaps the popular American actor Denzel Washington, who is shooting his new film The Equalizer 3, shot right in Campania.”
The Equalizer 3 is scheduled for a September 1, 2023 release in theaters. That’s less than five months away and fans are excited. As one replied: “So pumped to see this.”
