Before becoming the lifestyle brand guru that she is, as a youngster Martha Stewart reportedly babysat for the children of Mickey Mantle, Yogi Berra and Gil McDougald of the New York Yankees. Stewart, a New Jersey native, also began modeling at the age of 15.
Now 81, Stewart is still a staunch Yankees fan. On Opening Day at Yankees Stadium this year, Stewart shared the photo below of her (second from left) wearing a white scoop-neck mini dress with two arcs of red stitching on the sides.
Stewart reports that her friend, fashion designer Nicole Miller (far left), made that famous Baseball Dress for her and PR guru Susan Magrino (second from right) and New York real estate maven Patricia Burnham (far right) when they went to a Yankees game together, years ago.
Stewart adds “I am actually going to the game today!! So excited!!! But it’s too cold for that dress!!!”
As seen above with First Lady Jill Biden, Stewart opted for a vest with short sleeves to watch the Super Bowl in Phoenix and wrote: “Sorry Jill, the Chiefs won!”
