On The Simpsons episode ‘The King of Nice,’ when Krusty the Clown gets an afternoon talk show, Marge is hired as his segment producer.
While wearing the TV producer uniform (jeans, blazer and headset) on set, Marge realizes that the world of daytime TV isn’t as nice as she thought.
Real-life TV talk show host Drew Barrymore guest stars as herself. Last time Drew guest starred on The Simpsons was in the 2000 episode “Insane Clown Puppy.” She provided the voice of Sophie, Krusty’s daughter from a one-night stand.
Former Saturday Night Live writer Jessica Conrad (2008-2012) wrote the episode.
The Simpsons airs Sundays at 8 pm on FOX, right before The Great North at 8:30 pm, Bob’s Burgers at 9 pm and Family Guy at 9:30 pm.
