Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson has a list of accomplishments too long to enumerate, but suffice it to say he is living his dream. That said, even a Hollywood player of Johnson’s status doesn’t get everything he wants.
Sometimes, even now, The Rock has to fight for a project to come together, for that light to turn green — and that battle makes success even more gratifying, according to Johnson. Now that Black Adam is hitting theaters, Johnson is reveling in his moment — and in the early positive reactions to the film.
“15 long years I’ve fought so hard to make BLACK ADAM,” he writes. “Here we are today. I’m forever grateful for these early reactions. Really gratifying to see.”
Calling the Black Adam release a “new era in the DC Universe,” The Rock shares with his 341 million Instagram followers an early review from the entertainment site Collider, no doubt doing as much for Collider as for Black Adam.
Swipe through the post above and you’ll find that Johnson also shares reviews from MovieWeb, ScreenRant, ScreenCrush and others — but that first-place prominent Collider positioning is gold for writer Marco Vito Oddo and the site, which calls the movie “brutal” and “adrenaline fueled.”
