On the Season 13 premiere of Shark Tank, 26-year-old entrepreneur Philomina Kane pitched her brilliant hair hoodie company KIN. KIN hair hoodies are lined with satin, “a soft and smooth material that doesn’t absorb moisture as cotton does. With satin-lined hoodies, both men and women can protect their hair and keep it moisturized.”
Philomina had the good fortune of pitching in front of Lori Greiner and guest Shark Emma Grede, CEO of fashion juggernaut Good American (with Khloe Kardashian) and founding partner of SKIMS (with Kim Kardashain). Philomina accepted a $200,000 investment from the two female Sharks in exchange for 30 percent equity.
Since Shark Tank, KIN continues to expand its product line and promote items including the summer bucket hat. As seen above, Philomina gets KIN approval from NFL quarterback Teddy Bridgewater of the Miami Dolphins. KIN writes: “When NFL quarterback Teddy Bridgewater approves your satin lined bucket hat, you know it’s legit!“
