The protagonist of the new Hallmark Channel movie Caribbean Summer is news producer Jade (Heather Hemmens). After an embarrassing moment at work and a breakup, she plans a vacation to the Caribbean.
Her back luck follows her as she becomes a victim of a rental fraud. However, while wearing a number of pretty floral asymmetrical dresses, Jade finds a silver lining when she meets the real owner of the rental, Ford (Ser’Darius Blain).
According to imdb, Caribbean Summer was filmed in the village of Placencia in the Central American country of Belize. Population: 1,512. Belize borders Mexico to the north and the Caribbean Sea to the east.
The resort town of Placencia (translated Pleasant Point) is known for its 16 miles of palm-lined beaches, deep sea diving, hiking, fishing, its famous Placencia Lagoon, home to manatees and saltwater crocodiles, and tours of nearby Mayan Ruins.
