Three-time Oscar nominee Sylvester Stallone (Rocky, Rambo, The Expendables, Creed), who turned 73 last year, is filming a new sci-fi/fantasy film titled Samaritan.
While Stallone says he’s eager to “get back to work soon, like all of you,” he appears to be enjoying his time at home with his gorgeous family and dog! Sly captioned the video above: “Always be prepared! You never know when you’re going to get attacked by a wild beast!” But his dog doesn’t seem as wild as, say, Apollo Creed or Mr. T! Still Sly says something he never said to those guys: “I give up!”
Sly is also answering fan questions on Instagram. Check out the video above taken in his personal gym! He talks about how he motivates himself and admits that fear is his motivation, fear of not living up to his full potential.

Sly encourages fans to “Just throw down the gauntlet and say that’s it, I’m not going to get old, I’m not going to feel useless, I’m going to go out and do something every day whether it’s read a chapter of a book or write yourself a poem.”

That’s the perfect segue for Sly to answer the question, who was your idol growing up? “Oddly, mentally, Edgar Allan Poe,” says Sly. He says Poe was a “100 percent certified genius.”
