“Charles, you think my Knicks got a chance this year?” the autograph seeker asks TV personality and NBA legend Charles Barkley.
Barkley doesn’t even look up from his signing to set the long-suffering Knicks fan straight. “C’mon man, don’t be drinking out here in front of all these people,” Barkley replies.
The Knicks are the losing-est NBA franchise of the 21st century, having found more ways to lose and disappoint fans than even the 1980s era LA Clippers.
Barkley probably didn’t spend much time listening to newly acquired Knicks forward Marcus Morris, who spurned the Spurs to join New York, in his recent interview. Morris said the Knicks are going to return to having teams respect their house, AKA Madison Square Garden.
Barkley might want to check and see if Morris had come to the interview straight from happy hour!
