Hollywood movie stars Samuel L. Jackson, 70, and Regina Hall, 48, are promoting their latest film together, Shaft, a sequel of the 2000 film of the same title. Hall plays Shaft’s ex-wife Maya and mother of his child John “JJ” Shaft, Jr. (Jessie Usher). Rising star Alexandra Shipp, 27, who plays JJ’s love interest, is also promoting Dark Phoenix with Sophie Turner, Jennifer Lawrence and Jessica Chastain.
Shipp “adores” Hall and says she bows at her feet and begs for forgiveness “as I drool on your fancy shoes.” At the red carpet event, Hall wore a sexy strapless green gown designed by Jason Wu.
Shipp will appear next on the big screen in the film All the Bright Places by on the novel of the same name by Jennifer Niven. Elle Fanning and Justice Smith co-star.
