Golden State Warriors superstar forward Draymond Green is in a very fine mood. That sometimes happens. A lot of what basketball fans outside of the Bay Area see is surly Draymond. Arguing Draymond. Tough-tactics Draymond who can be more than a little annoying if you’re playing against his team.
But the other side of Draymond Green is joyous Draymond, and it’s his pure soul. Yes, he plays basketball with a chip on his shoulder, but he also plays with three chips (as in NBA championships) on his resume. And headed to his fifth straight NBA Finals, Green is in a beautiful, joyous Draymond frame of mind.

Green thought one reporter in Portland was “good luck today” and he wants to keep that good luck going. Since Green knows how to make things happen — he doesn’t just wish for it — he offered immediately to pay for the reporter’s trip to the NBA Finals. Just the flight though, not the hotel. Done deal, said the scribe.
