NBA legend and all-around showman Shaquille O’Neal put on his Nostradamus gear and became Shaqstradamus this week. Mad-hatted and half-hidden behind copious amounts of smoke, the big fella made his predictions about what would happen in the NBA playoffs while the TNT crew was on break. (They’re due back Sunday.) But Shaq’s predictions weren’t the fun part. That belonged to the moment when Kenny “The Jet” Smith asks what is [all this smoke] hookah? (Hookah is a water pipe commonly used to smoke specially flavored tobacco — and sometimes other herbal substances.)
Shaq takes faux offense and tells Kenny, “Stop snitching. Stop snitching. Don’t be telling people what I do when I’m off work.” But then Shaq being Shaq, he throws in a promo, blurting out: “House of Hookah on 14th Street.” (There’s a House of Hookah on 14th Street in Atlanta, not too far from the NBA on TNT studio.)
