Steph Curry scored 25 points and 20 in the second half, leading the Golden State Warriors to a Game 5 victory against the hard-out Houston Rockets. That’s a big game for a lot of players, but the 2x NBA MVP knows he needs to perform even better for the Warriors to play to their potential. He should know what that potential is — the Warriors have won 3 of the last 4 NBA titles. But for Curry, a game where he goes 9-of-23 including 3-of-11 from the field isn’t right. He explained:
“I got a lot of good looks early and just didn’t make ’em. It’s just kind of that vibe right now where my expectations — how I shoot the ball normally — are always there. But sometimes you just go through some rough patches. The one thing you can’t lose confidence and aggressiveness. Eventually it’ll break through, it’ll get back to how I expect to shoot the ball.”
