The popular reality TV show Dance Moms about dance instructor Abby Lee Miller and her competitive ALDC team of young dancers will return for its eighth season on Tuesday, June 4. But before the Season 8 premiere, Lifetime is airing a special about Miller who went to jail and successfully battled a rare cancer, Burkitt lymphoma.
To help promote the new season, Miller has been posting photos on Instagram including the one below where she’s holding a white Louis Vuitton purse which retails for $3,000 (if it’s a real one!) In the caption of the photo, Miller writes: “Rising from the ashes!”

In 2016, Miller pleaded guilty to bankruptcy fraud and for taking Australian currency into the U.S. without reporting it. In 2017, she was sentenced to a year and a day in prison, and ordered to spend two years on probation after her release. The Dance Moms special “The New Team” airs Tuesday, May 28 at 10 pm on Lifetime.
