In the Season 1 finale of God Friended Me, the God Account sends Simon Hayes’ (Adam Goldberg) name to Miles (Brandon Michael Hall). Miles, Cara (Violett Beane) and Rakesh (Suraj Sharma) try their best to make things right with Simon who’s scrambling to rebuild his “Juliet” code. They help Simon by tracking down the elusive Henry Chase.
Henry Chase is portrayed by actor Derek Luke. He’s known for his TV roles on The Americans (Gregory Thomas), 13 Reasons Why (Kevin Porter), Rogue (Marlon Dinard), Empire (Malcolm Deveaux, see link above), Hawthorne (Dr. Miles Bourdet), and Trauma (Cameron Boone), among others.
Luke is also well recognized for his roles in films including Captain America: The First Avenger (Gabe Jones), Madea Goes to Jail (Joshua Hardaway), Glory Road (Bobby Joe Hill), Friday Night Lights (Boobie Miles), and Antwone Fisher (Antwone) with Denzel Washington. God Friended Me airs Sundays at 8 pm on CBS, right before NCIS: Los Angeles.
