On Season 8 of Little Women: LA, Terra Jole and her husband Joe go through a really difficult time. Their daughter, Penny, who’s now 4, was born with hydrocephalus (a buildup of cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) that puts pressure on the brain).

During an exclusive interview from her Cancun vacation paradise, 2paragraphs asked Terra: How has the stress brought on by Penny’s health affected your marriage? How do you and Joe handle the stress?
Terra explains: “There were spots in the beginning where you feel very disconnected. You’re both helping each other out you’re both doing these routines, but you feel very disconnected. Sometimes you feel like ‘is this the end of the road?’ But a strong marriage, a real marriage really shines when times are tough. And yes, there are moments when I’ve been like ‘am I at the end of the road in this relationship?’ because we’ve gone through such depth.
“When you’re dealing with your children’s health, you’re going through a depression because you don’t know if the light at the end of the tunnel is going to shine. All you can do is stay positive and hope the tide turns.” New episodes of Little Women: LA air Thursdays at 10 pm on Lifetime, right after Little Women: Atlanta.
