On The Real Housewives of New York City episode “It’s Kind of a Phone-Y Story,” the ladies are still in the Berkshires, spending the weekend at Dorinda Medley’s estate. When Bethenny Frankel arrives (a day late), Dorinda makes sure to spend some quality time with her as she’s grieving the loss of her fiance Dennis Shields. (Dennis proposed to her in April, just four months before he was found dead in his apartment in August 2018.) While taking a walk together, Bethenny tells Dorinda she’s received what she thinks is “a sign” from Dennis.

While Dorinda consoles Bethenny (Dorinda lost her husband Richard years ago), she’s not as tender and understanding with Luann de Lesseps’ friend Barbara Kavovit, who believes Dorinda has been unfair to Luann. Dorinda yells at Barbara, “Stop being an interloper!” Just so we’re all on the same page: an interloper is “a person who becomes involved in a place or situation where they are not wanted or are considered not to belong.” The Real Housewives of New York City airs Wednesdays at 9 pm on Bravo.
