In The Real Housewives of New York City episode “Shark Bait,” Tinsley Mortimer returns to the charity world by hosting a doggy fashion show, followed by the ladies having brunch on board a yacht. It’s all smooth sailing, except for Tinsley, who is interrogated about her future with Scott. Later, Dorinda Medley readies her Blue Stone Manor for the ladies’ first Halloween there. At dinner in the Berkshires, Dorinda tells Sonja Morgan, Ramona Singer, Tinsley, and Luann de Lesseps that Bethenny Frankel said she was going to stay in a hotel if she couldn’t have her own room, so Dorinda gave her her own room.
When Luann balks about Dorinda giving Bethenny her own room, Dorinda says, “There’s no bad rooms in my houses. They’re beautiful manors. Every room is a half-a-million-dollar room. It’s not like some cottage. We’re staying in an estate. You sound like you’re staying at a shack.” Luann tries to explain that after all that she and Dorinda have gone through, she thought it would have been a nice gesture to offer Luann the room instead of putting her in “The Shark Room.” The Real Housewives of New York City airs Wednesdays at 9 pm on Bravo.
Note: Dorinda’s Blue Stone Manor is in Great Barrington, Massachusetts. The tudor estate, built in 1902, was a wedding gift from her late husband Richard Medley. Dorinda grew up in Great Barrington. She said she used to pass the house as a little girl and tell her father that one day she was going to own that house. When getting married to Richard, Dorinda says “Richard asked me what he’d like to buy me for my wedding present, and I said I’d like you to buy me Blue Stone Manor. So he bought me this as my wedding gift.”
