NBA legend Kobe Bryant has faced down all sorts of pressure on the basketball court, and the 5x NBA Champion hasn’t flinched. Famously hasn’t flinched.
But these days Bryant faces a different sort of competition. He’s now on the more giddy end of the Hollywood entertainment circuit — out promoting his movies and books and other entertainment activities with Granity Studios. So instead of facing James Harden, Allen Iverson, and Dwyane Wade, Kobe must do battle with the comedic late night hosts like the carpool karaoke king James Corden.

In a Truth or Dare type segment, Corden gives Bryant two options — tell the truth or eat some cow tongue. Threatened with the certainty of vomiting after a big bite of fat cow tongue, Bryant caves when asked to rank three NBA legends in order of greatness. Will Kobe finally settle the GOAT question that stirs up barroom and internet battles everywhere? The three legends Corden gives Bryant to rank are: Michael Jordan, LeBron James, and — yes — Kobe Bryant himself.
Bryant thinks about avoiding the controversy by eating the tongue, but he can’t bring himself to do it. Gallantly he agrees to take the easiest way out and playfully and boastfully says “Fine. Fine. I’m the best, Michael’s second best and LeBron’s third.” Hey Kobe can’t rank himself fairly — that’s understandable. But between Jordan and James — the two most-frequently-mentioned GOAT candidates — Kobe just put Michael Jordan in front.
Kobe had to choose between ranking himself, MJ and Bron from best to worst or eat cow tongue
