On the Season 9 finale of Love & Hip Hop, “Locked Down,” Yandy and Kimbella take a step toward mending their friendship by finally owning up to the mistakes they’ve made and recognizing that they’ve hurt one another. They literally burn their grudges while sitting around a fire on the beach. “So many relationships get messed up over a lack of communication,” says Yandy. She addresses Kimbella directly, “A lack of communication caused dissension and discord and just a whole bunch of confusion.” Yandy breaks down in tears, “We’ve allowed people to say things and do things and things have gotten to far.”
Yandy admits that she wasn’t there for Kimbella when she and Juelz broke up. “I abandoned our friendship because I was selfish.” Kimbella respects what Yandy is saying and says she acted poorly because she was angry at Yandy. “I do want to apologize to you.” The two women hug and literally burn their grudges written on paper.
