Bravo Tip or Pay is an app that allows users to tip people or pay people without cash and without exchanging personal information. The founders of Bravo Tip or Pay, husband and wife team Hector Rodriguez and Maria Luna Rodriguez of Phoenix, Arizona explained on Shark Tank how the app works — it uses “blockchain” technology — the same technology that underpins cryptocurrency like Bitcoin. The entrepreneurs pitched their business on the show in November 2017. They went into the Tank seeking a $150,000 investment in exchange for 5 percent equity. They accepted an offer from Mark Cuban and Lori Greiner — $150,000 for 10 percent equity and four percent in advisory shares.
