In The Conners episode “Don’t Shoot the Piano Teacher”, while Ben (Jay R. Ferguson) offers Darlene’s (Sara Gilbert) son Mark (Ames McNamara) free piano lessons, Jackie (Laurie Metcalf) throws a baby shower for Becky (Lecy Goranson). The father of the baby, Emilio, continues to pester Becky as he wants to be part of the baby’s life.
Emilio on The Conners is portrayed by Rene Rosado. He’s best known for his roles on Major Crimes (Gus Wallace) and in the 2013 film Star Trek Into Darkness (U.S.S. Enterprise Bridge Crew), among others. Rosado will appear next on the big screen in the thriller Saint Paul with Danny Glover and Mekhi Phifer. The Conners airs Tuesdays at 8 pm on ABC, right before The Kids Are Alright.
