In the Hallmark movie Winter Love Story, new author Cassie Winslett’s (Jen Lilley) first novel isn’t selling. To help boost sales, Cassie is told by her publisher to go on a book tour with best-selling, handsome and single author Elliot Somersby (Kevin McGarry). Elliot helps Cassie work on her stage presence and yes, a romance starts to blossom. Cassie’s mother Jeannine, who is also a popular writer, couldn’t be happier for her daughter.

Author mom Jeannine Winslett is portrayed by Mary-Margaret Humes. The former Miss Florida and runner-up to Miss USA 1975 launched her acting career in 1980 on an episode of The Dukes of Hazzard (as Tinker, SEE LINK ABOVE) and a role as Vestal Virgin Miriam in Mel Brooks’ History of the World: Part I. Humes might be best recognized for her roles as Dawson’s mom, Gail Leery, on Dawson’s Creek (SEE LINK ABOVE). Winter Love Story premieres on Hallmark Channel on Saturday, January 19 at 8 pm.
