On The Real Housewives of New Jersey episode “Whine Country,” new wife Jackie Goldschneider invites the ladies to a local vineyard to bond — but her plan backfires. While sitting outside sipping wine, Jennifer Aydin gets feisty with Jackie for writing that article about her “spoiled children” — and with Margaret Josephs. Margaret reveals that when she was a little girl, she used to go out with her mother “Marge Sr.” on dates and that at one time her mother (who’s only 20 years older) fell for a married man. When Jennifer playfully whispers “I see a pattern,” Margaret demands an explanation. Jennifer says, “Your mother was with a married man, and you were with a married man.” Margaret replies, “That’s not a pattern, that’s called a coincidence.”

Marge Sr.’s marriage to Margaret’s father lasted just a couple of years after Margaret was born. Margaret says she spoke Hungarian until she was 5 years old. And while Marge Sr. provides much-needed comedic relief on the show (especially when she talks openly about sex) life wasn’t always so easy. She’s mentioned on social media that she escaped communism in Hungary before coming to America as a young girl. The Real Housewives of New Jersey airs Wednesdays at 9 pm on Bravo.
