In the Criminal Minds episode “Broken Wing,” Dr. Tara Lewis (Aisha Tyler, who directs the episode) gets tipped off to an alarming number of overdose deaths of patients who just completed rehab at the same place but for various addictions (cocaine, alcohol, amphetamines, et al). What’s strange is that all seven victims died within 24 hours of leaving rehab and all from a heroin overdose. Lewis and the BAU team now need to find out if the patients are overdosing by their own hand or against their will. The tip comes from a former professor of Lewis’, Dr. Daryl Wright, who just happens to be her ex-husband.
Dr. Daryl Wright is portrayed by Gale Harold. He’s known for his roles on Defiance (Connor Lang), The Secret Circle (Charles Meade), Hellcats (Julian Parrish), Desperate Housewives (Jackson Braddock), and Queer as Folk (Brian Kinney), among others. Criminal Minds airs Wednesdays at 10 pm on CBS, right after SEAL Team.
