In the American Housewife episode “Saving Christmas,” Anna-Kat (Julia Butters) tries to help Trip (Peyton Meyer) win back her sister Taylor (Meg Donnelly) — and away from persistent Pierce (Milo Manheim). Meanwhile Katie (Katy Nixon) tries to distract her mother Kathryn (Wendie Malick) when her long-haired father Marty surprises the Otto family with a visit on Christmas. You might not recognize the actor playing Marty.
Marty is portrayed by the usually clean-shaven, short-haired actor Patrick Duffy. He’s best known for his roles on Dallas (Bobby Ewing, SEE LINK ABOVE), The Bold and the Beautiful (Stephen Logan), Step by Step (patriarch Frank Lambert with Suzanne Somers as his wife Carol), and Man from Atlantis (Mark Harris), among others. American Housewife airs Wednesdays at 8:30 pm on ABC, right after The Goldbergs and right before Modern Family.
