In the NCIS episode “A Thousand Words,” after a mural by street artist and activist Melanie Keller is stolen, the NCIS investigation leads to a conspiracy regarding a Navy contractor and the safety of ocean mammals. Also, Bishop (Emily Wickersham) shares a special connection with Melanie Kerr, who is portrayed by actress Abbie Cobb.
The actress playing Melanie, Abbie Cobb, is known for her roles on Suburgatory (Kimantha, see photo below), Grey’s Anatomy (Frankie Keller), The Secret Life of the American Teenager (Francine), 90210 (Emily Bradford), in the 2015 Lifetime TV movie The Unauthorized Beverly Hills, 90210 Story as Jennie Garth, among others. Fun fact: Cobb is the author of Stuck on a Ferris Wheel, a fascinating guidebook for up-and-coming actors. NCIS airs Tuesdays at 8 pm on CBS, right before FBI.
