Actress Connie Britton stars in the Bravo scripted drama Dirty John based on the true story of Debra Newell (Connie Britton, Nashville). The four-time divorcee married John Meehan (Eric Bana, The Time Traveler’s Wife) after dating for just two months. When she realized that everything her daughters Veronica (Juno Temple, The Other Boleyn Girl) and Terra had warned her about was true, she tried to annul the marriage 16 months later.
Ex-con Meehan was furious and attacked Debra’s daughter Terra in a parking lot. Terra, a dog lover who worked at the Newport Beach dog kennel, was traveling with her beloved dog Cash when Meehan attacked her. Terra and Cash survived, Meehan did not. (Los Angeles Times reporter Christopher Goffard related many such detailed on his popular podcast “Dirty John.” SEE ABOVE.)
