On the Married to Medicine episode “BBQs, Biscuits and Birth Control,” the couples are still vacationing in Antigua (interested in a trip?) where tensions continue to rise in the group. While Mariah Huq is still holding a grudge against Heavenly Kimes for insulting her mother, Simone Whitmore confronts Contessa Metcalf about using her surgery (she had a double mastectomy) as an excuse to not hang out with the group when she really just doesn’t want to be around Toya Bush-Harris.
[Binge watch Season 1 of Married to Medicine]
On a fast moving boat, Simone tells Contessa: “I want you to stop saying ‘I had surgery, I had surgery’ because it comes off like you’re a victim.” Simone says snidely, “None of us have dementia.” Frustrated, Simone gets right in Contessa’s face and says, “You’re shoving that surgery down our face.” Simone continues to tells Contessa, “I’m trying to welcome you back into the group” but then she raises her voice (it’s shrill) and loses control of the conversation. Simone is led away from Contessa and is heard cussing, “f—k you, Contessa!” Married to Medicine airs Saturdays at 9 pm on Bravo.
