On the Teen Mom OG episode “Mama Bear”, while Amber Portwood visits with her brother Bubby, Catelynn Lowell and her husband Tyler Baltierra have lunch with his mother Kim. Kim just brought Tyler’s sister Amber to rehab. Catelynn says “We’re trying to be supportive but it’s hard right now.” Catelynn tells Kim she hopes hopes Amber is taking rehab seriously rather than like a vacation away from her kids. Kim’s mother admits it’s exhausting to talk about Amber but “we have to do it, or I have to it, because I’m the mom.”
Tyler, who’s rocking a new Kanye West-esque outfit (long t-shirt, ripped jeans at knees, Timberland boots and long strands of necklaces), has also taken on a new attitude. He’s bitter and lacking the empathy his mother thought he had. Kim tells Tyler he seems bitter towards his sister, his father, and even Catelynn – all three of whom have repeatedly entered treatment centers. Tyler doesn’t deny his bitterness.
