In the Teen Mom OG episode “Suns Out, Buns Out,” while new mom Cheyenne Floyd causes a scene at her family’s BBQ where both her boyfriend and baby daddy are in attendance, OG Amber Portwood has a heart-to-heart with her ex Gary Shirley. Gary brings their daughter Leah over to Amber’s house to visit before Amber, her new husband Andrew and their newborn baby James leave for Los Angeles.
Amber tells Gary she hopes they’ll come to visit them in Los Angeles. Gary says he’s pretty sure they will. He takes advantage of the quiet moment to tell Amber that he and his wife Kristina “have been on the hunt trying to find my father.” In a previous episode, Gary got the results of a DNA test which proved that Jody (ex-boyfriend of Gary’s mother) is not his biological father. Amber tells Gary, “I really do hope you find him.” Teen Mom OG airs Mondays at 9 pm on MTV, right before Teen Mom: Young + Pregnant.
