In The Real Housewives of Orange County episode “Blow Up,” the ladies are still vacationing in Jamaica. Over dinner, tensions rise when Gina Kirschenheiter confronts Shannon Beador about not showing an interest in her. Shannon defends herself by saying she doesn’t like change and that there’s a lot of newness in her life that she’s dealing with (a new house, no husband, a new business). Gina, a mother of three toddlers, can’t believe Shannon doesn’t have time to even ask “how are you doing?” What rational viewers across America are wondering is, why does Gina want to be friends with a woman who clearly has no interest in her? To make matters worse, Gina then accuses Shannon of not being a good friend to Tamra Judge. Gina accuses Shannon of not checking in on Tamra enough when Tamra’s husband Eddie was going through his heart surgery.
When Shannon accuses Gina of criticizing her friendship with Tamra, Gina says, “I’m not criticizing your friendship with Tamra, I’m saying something she felt.” Shannon is quick to say, “Tamra will tell you right now that I am a very good friend to her.” Gina turns to Tamra and says, “Okay, let’s let Tamra tell her.” When Tamra doesn’t quickly speak up to defend Shannon, Shannon feels betrayed and drama explodes in every direction. The Real Housewives of Orange County airs Mondays at 9 pm on Bravo, right before the new reality show Welcome to Waverly.
