In the Black Ink Crew: Chicago Season 4 finale, “Welcome to 9Mag…Again!,” while Phor struggles to keep both his music career and his relationship with Nikki, Ryan makes some serious business moves. He confides in Phor about his plan to take over Loyal Ink’s lease “and put them out of business.” Ryan says he got a call from the owner of the building saying the lease is for sale. Ryan says the call was “out of the blue” and that the owner hasn’t been happy with the way things have been going since Ryan has been gone.

Ryan says he believes that “all the discrepancies between them and myself – including me leaving — will be forgiven if I’m willing to come back and take over the shop again.” When Phor questions Ryan, Ryan proclaims, “Loyal Ink is dead.” Ryan laughs, “Their time is up, they just don’t know it yet.” Phor says, “Ryan is stone cold, man,” and opens the doors of Loyal Ink for Ryan.
