The protagonist of the movie The Archer is high school student Lauren Pierce. The Tri-State Archery Champion and her teammate Emily (Grace Victoria Cox, Heathers, Under the Dome) celebrate their win in a hotel room when Emily’s abusive boyfriend busts up their fun. Lauren snaps and beats the crap out of Daniel. Lauren is sent to an all-girls reform camp in Utah called Paradise Ridge, which turns out to be more like a prison for girls. Lauren and her new friend in camp/prison Rebecca (Jeanine Mason, Grey’s Anatomy) are desperate to escape.
Lauren Pierce is portrayed by Bailey Noble. She’s known for her roles on Law & Order True Crime (as Jamie Pisarcik of The Menendez Murders series), Amazon’s The Last Tycoon (Bess Burrows), Timeless (Amy Preston), True Blood (Adilyn Bellefleur), and Secret Diary of an American Cheerleader (Mandy), among others. The Archer is making its debut on Lifetime Movies on Thursday, August 30 at 8pm.
