The fifth episode of TLC’s I Want THAT Wedding follows engaged couple Brooke Turner and Mike Tabor. Brooke and Mike met in Chicago, Illinois but they’re getting married in Detroit, Michigan. The episode is titled “Surf vs. Turf” because the bride wants a casual wedding on the water with pizza and a buffet, and the groom wants a formal black-tie event with a live band.
Already Brooke and Mike are learning the important art of compromise. They’re getting married in October at the Detroit Yacht Club, which is located on its own island off of Belle Isle in the Detroit River. So the wedding is technically on land but they’ll be surrounded by water. Mike won the black-tie debate, but no word on if pizza will be served. I Want THAT Wedding airs Saturdays at 9pm on TLC, right after Say Yes to the Dress: Atlanta.
