On Season 5 of The Profit, investor Marcus Lemonis travels to Santa Monica, California to check out The Casery. It’s a start-up that designs and sells $32 fashion-forward cellphone cases. The Casery’s tagline is “Protect the One You Love.” Their sales are impressive. CEO Matt Harlow tells Lemonis that in the past four months they’ve made $1.7 million. But is that too good to be true? As usual, Lemonis is quick to find the cracks in the business. When Lemonis accuses Harlow of presenting the business differently from reality, Lemonis pulls a Shark Tank Kevin O’Leary negotiation tactic and says he now wants $1 for every Casery product sold.

According to Harlow’s LinkedIn page, he is a two-time US National Champion and International Team Champion. He has also competed in billiards, ping pong and Foosball.
