The televised dance competition So You Think You Can Dance returns for its 15th season on Monday, June 4. Host Cat Deeley and the judges – Nigel Lythgoe, Mary Murphy and Vanessa Hudgens – are back too. During the season premiere, the judges will watch highly-skilled dancers between the ages of 18 and 30 audition, including Jay Jackson. Jay performs to the RuPaul song “Cover Girl” and her splits are insane.
Jay Jackson is a 29-year-old dancer from Dallas, Texas. He is also known as drag queen Laganja Estranja – who competed on Season 6 of RuPaul’s Drag Race. (She came in 8th place.) According to the Laganja Estranja website “Let’s Get Sickening,” it was Laganja Estranja who taught Miley Cyrus how to “Doooo It!” (Check out Laganja Estranja with Miley Cyrus at the VMAs 2015 below.) Like Cyrus, Jackson is a cannabis rights activist. (The song “Doooo It” opens with the line, “Yeah, I smoke pot.” So You Think You Can Dance airs Mondays at 8pm on FOX. (19-year-old Lex Ishimoto won Season 14.)
