In the Splitting Up Together episode “Letting Ghost,” Mae (Olivia Keville) wins the lead in the school musical. Her parents Martin (Oliver Hudson) and Lena (Jenna Fischer) are thrilled…until they get a call from the school psychiatrist, Dr. Rydacto. Mae has been confiding in the doctor about how she really feels about her parents new lifestyle.
Dr. Rydacto is portrayed by Fred Armisen. The 11x Emmy nominee is known for his on-camera roles on Portlandia, The Last Man on Earth (Karl Cowperthwaite), Saturday Night Live (Prince, Barack Obama, et al.), Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt (Robert Durst), Documentary Now!, Late Night with Jimmy Fallon (Lady Hedith), and Unsupervised (Martin), among others. Splitting Up Together airs Tuesdays at 9:30pm on ABC, right after black-ish and right before For the People.
