In the Instinct episode “Owned,” Abby Wright (Kate Arrington), the owner of a professional basketball team (and friend of Jasmine’s), dies when her car goes off a bridge. Lt. Jasmine Gooden (Sharon Leal) puts Dylan (Alan Cumming) and Lizzie (Bojana Novakovic) on the case to determine if her friend’s death was a homicide. They go to the team’s stadium and speak with Abby’s 6’5” tall husband Russell Wright, who is portrayed by Peter Hermann.
Hermann is known for his role as Blue Bloods (Erin’s ex-husband Jack Boyle), Law & Order: Special Victims Unit (Trevor Langan), Younger (Charles Brooks), Cashmere Mafia (Davis Draper), and Guiding Light (Dr. Michael Burke), among others. Fun fact: The Yale graduate met his wife Mariska Hargitay on the set of Law & Order: SVU in 1999. They married in 2004 and have three children together. Instinct airs Sundays at 8pm on CBS, right before NCIS: Los Angeles.
