On the Season 2 premiere of World of Dance, the three judges (Jennifer Lopez, Ne-Yo, Derek Hough) and host Jenna Dewan participate in an epic judge performance. Ne-Yo starts off. Jenna, wearing a smoking hot Adidas bodysuit follows and then is cut in on by Derek Hough. Then the lights go out and JLo saunters on stage wearing a #13 JLo Jersey. She and a troupe perform to her new song, “Dinero” featuring DJ Khaled and Cardi B which features the refrain “Get the money, and go go!” While Kelly Clarkson wore a #14 Jersey on the premiere of The Voice earlier this year to mark the show’s 14th season, it’s not the 13th season of World of Dance yet. What’s the deal?
The #13 is the number JLo’s boyfriend Alex Rodriguez wore when he played for the New York Yankees. JLo wears a similar Jersey in the Dinero music video below. Note: JLo and Cardi B are both from the Bronx, the New York City borough where Yankee Stadium is located. World of Dance airs Tuesdays at 10pm on NBC, right after America’s Got Talent.
