In the Instinct episode “I Heart New York,” Dr. Dylan Reinhart (Alan Cumming) and Det. Lizzie Needham (Bojana Novakovic) were investigating a chemical attack on the subway until the case was taken over by Dylan’s father Roger. That’s right, Dylan’s father is an FBI agent. While Dylan and Lizzie are reassigned to a murder case in Central Park, Dylan discovers that the two cases – the chemical attack and the murder in the park – are related.
Dylan’s father FBI agent Roger Reinhart is portrayed by John Doman. Doman is known for his roles on Gotham (Carmine Falcone), The Affair (Bruce Butler), Person of Interest (Senator Ross Garrison), Rizzoli & Isles (Paddy Doyle), Borgia (Rodrigo Borgia), Damages (Walter Kendrick), and The Wire (Dep. Comm. For Operations William Rawls), among others. Instinct airs Sundays at 8pm on CBS, right before NCIS: Los Angeles.
