In the Hallmark movie The Sweetest Heart, Maddie is doing her best to keep her cupcake business afloat. Lucky for her she meets a helpful and handsome investment banker named Alex (Victor Zinck Jr.). Everything seems to be under control until Maddie’s first love Nate (Chris McNally) drops by. She hasn’t seen him in 14 years, but it’s like he never left.
Maddie is portrayed by Julie Gonzalo. The Argentine-born actress is known for her roles on Dallas (Pamela Rebecca Barnes), Eli Stone (Maggie Dekker), Veronica Mars (Parker Lee), and in the 2004 film Dodgeball: A True Underdog Story (Amber the cheerleader, see photos below), among others. The Sweetest Heart premieres on Hallmark Channel on Saturday, March 17 at 9pm.
