Sisters Katherine Saltzberg and Lauri Fraser are the entrepreneurs behind Hugo’s Amazing Tape. Together they’re pitching their glue-less, self-clinging, reusable tape invention on Shark Tank on February 18. That’s right, tape that doesn’t have adhesive so it sticks to nothing but itself. Their Amazing Tape Shark Tank pitch is memorable for several reasons. For starters, the sisters are seeking an investment of $50,000 and they’re willing to give up 50 percent equity! Billionaire Mark Cuban can’t believe what he heard. “5-0?” he asks. Lauri says with a playful curtsy, “Si, senor.” And then they demonstrate the product’s strength with a hilarious tug of war (see photo above). But that’s not all! When the sisters demonstrate specific uses of Hugo’s Amazing Tape, they put on different voices as if they’re in a variety show. Katherine puts on a Southern accent when using their Hugo’s Amazing Tape on her embroidery thread, and Lauri switches to a macho guy when wrapping up power tools.

It is quite the performance, and both sisters have a lot of experience on stage. Katherine is best known for her role on the sitcom Star of the Family, playing Brian Dennehy’s 16-year-old singer daughter Jennie Lee Krebs. She was also a backup singer for Jimmy Buffett’s 1990 tour Jump Up! Her sister Lauri is a voice actress (Natasha in Rocky and Bullwinkle, Mrs. Olsen in Olaf’s Frozen Adventure, among others). The tape is named after their father Hugo Maisnik, who is best known as the man behind the iconic billboards in L.A. in the 1980s featuring sex symbol Angelyne. Angelyne recently described Hugo as a “very eccentric, bored prankster.” New episodes of Shark Tank air Sundays at 10pm on ABC. [Related: 27 Favorite Shark Tank Products ]
